Story
An overdose of sentiment, the story is about the mother and daughter duo of Thankam Philip (Zarina) who is a professor and a widow. She has been living single just for the sake of her only daughter Kochurani (navya) and even the daughter is quite affectionate towards her mother. So much so that they just find excuses to be with each other. However, things take a turn when the time comes for Kochurani to get married and they begin to look for possible alliances. But then, Kochurani falls in love with Sojappan and then with Inkachan. Though this is more of a surprise and an element of embarrassment, there is a good reason why Kochurani has these romantic links and what happens in the end forms the suspense of the story.

Presentation
The director has come up with a storyline that is quite confusing since the message is not clear. However, the presentation was alright though the narrative has not been convincing. The script lacked strength and the screenplay was mediocre. Dialogues did not have that impact and the pace of the movie was mild. However, the music was a melody and is a treat, camera was also good in capturing the moments very well. Editing should have been neat at few points. Costumes and the art department made their presence felt. Zarina Wahab was gracious as ever and made her presence felt. Navya looked sensuous but then her role was not etched well. Prithvi had a brief role so not much from his end. Jagathy was regular, the comedy of Suraaj, Sudeesh was just okay. The others came and went.

Conclusion
The film could have been a better treat if the makers had worked on cutting down the sentiment part or portrayed it in a rather matured way. While the first half of the film revolves around the mother and daughter, the second half goes about with the romance part but thankfully the climax had a reasonable explanation which provided some relief to the audience. The sequences appeared rather haphazard and at one point leaves the audience confused as to whether this is a romance treat or a sentiment treat. This might not shine at the box office.
