In a recent interview, music composer and singer M Jayachandran said that there was abundance of talent in the reality shows. However he was doubtful if these shows were molding playback singers or just performers. He added that there was doubt if these performers would repeat the same performance in the studio. He felt that only very few of the winners ended up as good playback singers. He added that singers will survive in the field and be successful only if they are dedicated.
