Story:
A known tale, the story is set on the backdrop of Kuttanad and here is Benny (Jayaram) who is a cable operator. He has a big family of a widowed mother, two sisters Sophie and Sally along with his grandmother. As expected, he has financial difficulties and finds a solution in the form of his good friend Sadanandan who advises Benny to marry a girl with good dowry. He also manages to find Daisy (Kanihaa) whose father Anto promises a dowry of 5 lakhs during the time of marriage. The marriage takes place but the transaction does not happen. Enraged by this, Benny begins to ill treat Daisy and he is keen on driving her out. She takes it on her stride and suffers everything but then a twist of events happen and how Benny comes out of his problems forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:
The director has come up with a regular tale of emotions and though the storyline is interesting, he could have tweaked it better with his narration and presentation. The dialogues were witty, the script was alright but the screenplay was not tight. Music and cinematography could have been better but the editing was amateur. Costumes were nice and the art department also did a good job. Jayaram was apt as the hero while Kanihaa looked perfect as his pair, the onscreen chemistry was good. Narein did his bit with grace though it was brief, Innocent was nice, Nedumudi was apt, Lalitha and Mamookoya did their bit to provide some laughs. The others came and went.

Conclusion:
The film could have been a lot better if the technical aspects were worked on and at the same time, the content could have been crisper. While the first half of the movie goes about in a rather comedy and light hearted mode, it is the second half where some seriousness sets in and takes it to a different plane. The pace of the movie has been quite slow and the length could have been curtailed a bit. The film might appeal to the family audience in a way but then it may not be a great runner at the box office.
